Full Moon in Gemini

Or how flexibility helps us navigate uncertainty!

On November 27th at 09:16 GMT, the Sun sits opposite the Moon at 4° 51′ in the sign of Gemini, giving us a nebulous Full Moon in Gemini.

A Full Moon usually makes our emotions very potent and sometimes all over the place and in Gemini it also enhances our mental energy. Ideas could be appearing fast (and disappearing as quickly as they came) and decisions could be rushed if we don’t look at a situation from every possible angle.

The Sun and Mars are in a lose conjunction in Sagittarius, boosting our optimism, expanding our adventurous side and obviously adding a spoonful of recklessness to the mix. With 5 planets in Mutable signs, the energy of this lunation fluctuates like the branches of a tree in the breeze. One moment we feel ready for any challenge and endeavour, the next we doubt ourselves and our plans. In true Gemini fashion, duality is at its peak and adaptability is required to approach any situation. Being flexible in our ideas and allowing things to unravel a bit differently from what we had envisionned is a much needed strength now.

On the Gemini/Sagittarius axis, the lessons are all about finding the right balance in perspective. When Gemini gets lost in the amount of information to find, Sagittarius offers focus and essential keypoints to direct the research/gathering of data and when Sagittarius plays the self-righteous judge, Gemini helps opening the mind to other concepts and beliefs. This equilibrium is necessary under this lunation and we might see ourselves oscillating between truths and beliefs, between uncertainty and assurance. Both the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon in Gemini are squaring Saturn in Pisces: no matter the dream, the idea or the project, we need structure, organisation and patience (the latter being quite difficult to cultivate for Gemini and Sagittarius!). Time is not an enemy but rather a tool to grow and progress, let’s not rush towards the future and let’s bask a little longer in the now. Again, flexibility and adaptability (towards a plan, a structure and time management) are great skills.

At the time of the Full Moon, Mercury in Sagittarius is squaring Neptune in Pisces and this creates a hazy mist around the information we receive, the way we analyse the pieces of the puzzle and communicate. Once again, decisions shall be made with wisdom and understanding: all that is seen or felt may not be true.

Or how to expand our cosmic consciousness!

On June 4, 2023 at 03:41 GMT, the Sun at 13° of Gemini will be in direct opposition to the Moon at 13° of Sagittarius and we will have a lucky Full Moon in Sagittarius.

The Gemini/Sagittarius axis is all about information, communication, learning, social activities, the higher mind, philosophy, big adventures and expansion of knowledge. Both signs are known for being quick (in wit and pace) being mutable air and fire. These themes are highlighted with this lunation but there’s a lot more to it!

The Moon is close to the Galactic Centre (at approximately 27° of Sagittarius) and in alignment with the Great Attractor, an intense and quite mystical point in astrology. These alignments emphasize the idea of cosmic consciousness and the fact that we are all connected as beings on Earth but also on different timelines and planets. The sign of the Archer wants to aim high and expand and this is very likely to occur in the way we envision life. Looking at the bigger picture and having a macroscosmic view of all things is quite relevant at this time.

The ruler of Sagittarius, Jupiter, is now in Taurus and adds on to the themes of beliefs and communication by highlighting the concept of worth and value (both personal and collective). What do we want to build for the future/long term? What should we take into account? Do we have all the pieces of information we need to proceed?

Jupiter is also forming a sextile with Saturn in Pisces, inviting us to move away or zoom out from our 3D reality and try to embrace the streams of energetic updates of the galaxies. The Moon is forming a trine to Chiron, the wounded healer and this, to me, is a lucky opportunity to transmute old failures and past hurts into wisdom and self-expansion.

This Full Moon is helping us see where we’ve been acting too small or feeling too stuck in life chores and habits and she wants us to feel whole and part of the cosmic realms. It’s a time to dream big, act upon it and acknowledge our real qualities and assets. It’s a time to evolve and receive insight from the Universe, Source, Cosmic Intelligence or whatever you want to call it.

May this Full Moon bring everyone lots of wisdom, insight and opportunities to feel whole and alive 🤍
