On August 19th, 2024, the Moon in Aquarius will oppose the Sun in Leo, both luminaries at 27°, creating a Full Moon in Aquarius, at 18:25 GMT.

Aquarius is known for its independant and rebellious behaviour, always questionning the status quo and ready to embrace novelty and try fresh concepts, especially mentally. The Moon in Aquarius represents a certain detachment from our emotions in order to envision ideas that could have scared us without the proper dose of rationnality.

Stepping away from heart-centred Leo and gathering ideas from higher realms, the Water Bearer can project himself far into the future and has the talent of making his ideas a reality through a logical and sometimes cold approach.

Under this Full Moon, this is exactly what to do! To keep a cool head and a structured plan in order to avoid chaos or dissatisfying results. On August 4, at 11:12 GMT, the Sun and the Moon will be conjunct at 12° of Leo, making it a New Moon in Leo.

Leo is well known for being creative, generous and flamboyant! Sometimes too preoccupied by the outer appearance it is nonetheless a very intuitive and heart-based sign. With the Sun (ruler of Leo) and the Moon (connected to our inner world and emotions), the skies are inviting us to waltz in between boldness and intuition and to blend our artistry with our instincts.

A New Moon is a great reminder of direction. What do we want to do or achieve? What path would we like to take? It’s a time for reflection and intentions. It can be very beneficial to meditate on our goals and use the power of the Moon.

This particular New Moon is very much about our feelings and how we want to express them. How could we harness the power of emotions and make a new reality out of it? Fortunately, both the Sun and the Moon are well aspected to Mars and Jupiter in Gemini: we get quite the perfect cocktail, the will, the intuition, the drive and the luck!

There is definitely some depth coming with this New Moon as Pluto in Aquarius is positively aspecting Neptune in Pisces and Uranus in Taurus: it feels like we are reflecting on our dreams but also on our ideas and they could very well turn into tagible manifestations. Every year during Leo season a massive energetic portal opens up and reaches its highest frequency on August 8th.

This is the time when the Sun is in the middle of the constellation of Leo (more or less around 15/16°) and when the bright star Sirius, (considered by ancient civilizations as the Sun of our Sun) rises on the horizon.

This portal is a spiritual and energetic gateway that helps us realign with our soul purpose, reconnect our mind to our heart and readjust anything wobbly so we can manifest what’s best for us. The frequency or energy field is very intense during this time and any spiritual practice is recommended. There’s a strong emphasis on the heart chakra (Leo’s vibes!) but also on the crown chakra (spiritual downloads are likely to happen if you’re ready!). This celestial event is all about our heart and soul, it contains powerful light codes that can help us dig deep into what our purpose on Earth is.

Manifestation skills are also enhanced during the Lion’s gate portal as Sirius often shares the qualities of Jupiter, the great benefic, the planet of luck, expansion and optimism.
